  19. Did you ever ask your Modem, why the disconect happened?
  20. Do the following to your USR: ATS13=0 (no reset on DTR-Toggle)

  22. After the (unwanted) disconnect ask your Modem by giving ATI6
  23. and look for the last line in the output:

  27. If the reason is DISC RECEIVED (or something like that), so
  28. the remote Modem of your ISP requested your Modem to hangup.

  30. We had this problem in our company that time, the first
  31. USR (Courier) V.34-Modems came out: lots of unwanted disconnects.

  33. The solution was an upgrade of the ModemFlashRom, after that,
  34. everything worked fine.

  36. So it might be possible, that not YOU have a modem-problem,
  37. but your ISP.
