- Did you ever ask your Modem, why the disconect happened?
- Do the following to your USR: ATS13=0 (no reset on DTR-Toggle)

- After the (unwanted) disconnect ask your Modem by giving ATI6
- and look for the last line in the output:

- If the reason is DISC RECEIVED (or something like that), so
- the remote Modem of your ISP requested your Modem to hangup.

- We had this problem in our company that time, the first
- USR (Courier) V.34-Modems came out: lots of unwanted disconnects.

- The solution was an upgrade of the ModemFlashRom, after that,
- everything worked fine.

- So it might be possible, that not YOU have a modem-problem,
